Personal Testimony
I would like to share a small portion of my testimony with you. God saved and delivered my soul from a life of sin on April 7, 1975. There came a time when I grew weary of doing the same old things repeating identical activities, frequenting familiar locations, and socializing with the same individuals day in and day out. The cycle of staying out late, engaging in parties, getting high, and heading to work became my everyday routine. On New Year's Eve, going into 1975, I didn't want to go out that night to celebrate the new year with my friends and family. I just wanted to stay home to bring the new year in. At midnight, I knelt and said, "Dear God, I'm tired of living the same old way every day. And it's got to be more than life than this. I need a change. Four months later, I found a gospel track that a lady gave me about a year prior that I never intended to read. But that track caught up with me on April 7, 1975. On the front cover of that track, it said, "THINK! THINK! THINK!" As I read it, all I knew was that it had me thinking, and I went to the Bible class that night. After the Bible class, the pastor told everyone to close their eyes and call on Jesus' name. And when I began to call his name about six or seven times, I began to speak with other tongues as the Spirit of God gave utterance. And I was filled with the Holy Ghost that night and got baptized in Jesus' name. The song says, "Ever since that wonderful day, my soul has been satisfied. Every day with Jesus is sweeter than the day before, and I love him more and more every day." Another song I love to sing occasionally says, "I went to a meeting one night, and my heart just wasn't right, but something got a hold on me. It made me walk right, talk right, live right, made me act and look right. It was the Holy Ghost, Yes, the Holy Ghost." It has now been 48 years that I have been walking and living for the Lord. I desire to see others brought out of darkness into the marvelous light. Praise the Lord, everybody! Now, I have been walking in the newness of life. To God be all the glory for the things He has done.

1 Peter 5:10
"But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you."
Imagine you're building a puzzle, and some pieces get bent or lost. It might feel like the picture can never be complete again. But what if someone promised to fix those bent pieces and find the lost ones, making the puzzle perfect? That's a bit like what Peter is telling us in 1 Peter 5:10.
Life can be tough. Sometimes, we feel hurt, lost, or broken because of the bad things that happen or the mistakes we make. But Peter shares a hopeful message from God. He tells us that God sees us when we're struggling and promises to help us. God doesn't just watch; He steps in to fix, strengthen, and settle us. It's like He's mending the broken pieces of our puzzle.
Even though we might go through hard times, these moments are short compared to the beautiful, forever happy life God has ready for us after these troubles. And while we're still here, going through these tough times, God is working in us. He's making us stronger, more solid, and more like the people He knows we can be.
So, when life feels hard, remember that God is with you. He's helping you grow stronger, and He's fixing the broken parts. Keep trusting Him, and you'll find yourself standing firm and steady, ready for anything that comes your way.
Jeremiah 29:11
"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end."
Walking through life, we sometimes encounter paths that are tangled and confusing, much like wandering through a dense forest without a clear direction. It's easy to feel lost and unsure of where to go next. However, Jeremiah 29:11 offers us a powerful reminder of God's presence and promise in our lives.
Jeremiah tells us that even when things seem confusing or tough, God has not forgotten us. He has a special plan for each of us. This plan isn't about making things hard or sad. Instead, it's about bringing us success, hope, and a bright future. It's like God is saying, "Trust me. I know the way through the forest. I know the steps you need to take."
Sometimes, we look at what's happening around us, and it's hard to see how things could get better. But Jeremiah reminds us that God's plans are bigger than our problems. He loves us so much and has incredible things planned for our lives. Even when we can't see it, He is working everything out for our good.
So, when you feel lost or unsure about your future, remember that God has already drawn the map for your life. He promises to guide you to a place of hope and happiness. Keep following Him, and trust in the wonderful plan He has for you.
